I am a graduate of Williams College and George School (the other person who went to both schools was my hero Stephen Sondheim), an international student from Xiamen, PRC (proudly Hokkien), and a Theatre & History double major. My historical areas of interest are World War II and 20th-century mass dictatorships (Communist China and National Socialist Germany). I am currently pursuing an MFA in Set Design at David Geffen School of Drama at Yale.

My dream is to fry an egg on a scorching source 4 and to be a decent visual storyteller in theatre who strives to construct visual bridges between the story and the audience, externalizing emotional subtext, intellectual themes, and broader sociohistorical contexts. In a theatre, where history, fiction, and memory merge, I hope the audience can look beyond their immediate reality and discover the shared humanity that unites us across diverse perspectives and experiences.
